I want to be a literary agent?
I want to know if there are any journals or newsletters I should be subscribing to?
I know I have to be up to date on what is selling on the market and other trends.
also… I am an english major. After this year I will have a few hours left to pick up a minor in. I was thinking history, but should it be something like Marketing, advertising, or communication if I want to take the literary agent career path?

Also, many literary agents and publishing houses have internships and that’s what you can use to get your foot in the door.
http://www.aaronline.org has a list of agents. Visit their websites and see if they’re in your area and if they offer any internships for which you can apply.
