How to extend iPhone battery life?

How do I extend my iPhone’s battery life because lately it dies down very quickly.

For ANY electrical device, it works in a particular manner which is predictable. Have you changed the way you USE the device? Changing HOW you use the device will change how it responds. Use it less and the battery appears to last longer. The battery, any battery, has a fixed capacity. Through use, charge and discharge cycles, the amount the battery holds decreases the more it is used. Every battery has a lifetime measured in charge-discharge cycles. A typical Lithium Polymer battery will last about 800 to 1000 full cycles. Two half cycles count as a full cycle. At the end of life, the battery will appear to charge in less time, and likewise will run down in less time. The older the battery, the more cycles of charge and discharge it has gone through, the shorter the charge time and the shorter the use time because the battery capacity has decreased. Think of it like a pond that I drain and refill. Over time, dirt slowly is added which means the amount of water I can drain and refill decreases. Every cycle of a battery is like adding dirt to the pond. Eventually, you can get nothing out of it. How old is your battery? The thing about a rechargeable battery is that the capacity is not linear over time, but rather near the end of life drops off rapidly all of a sudden from almost full capacity to almost next to nothing in a matter of days or maybe as long as a few weeks. It is likely from your description that your battery is dying from “old age” and needs replacement.
