Watching movies and videos on the go has become very popular and the FX-930 is one such portable DVD player that offers reliable service when compared to products of other brands as Sony is the leader of this technology and one can blindly go for most of the products from the same brand. While the players of most other brands break down or stop working and need to be replaced after a considerable amount of time, this unit is consistent in offering dependable service.
The player has a nine inch swivel screen that can be rotated to a full 180 degrees for the convenience of the user. Also, the image quality is not compromised when the viewing angle increases as it is made of high quality parts. The entire unit is also well built and has a sturdy body that can resist shocks. The device is also capable of playing music and slides hows of images which is an added advantage to the user. The battery level is the best among the alternative models as it can play continuously for around six hours without having to recharge the battery. This makes it convenient to watch around three movies on an average when the battery is fully charged.
The remote control of the unit is well designed and has a user friendly nature. The screen also has e few buttons on the lower side which makes it easier to control the player when the screen is turned. The device has large speakers and hence the sound quality and volume are more than satisfactory for a player of this size. There are two headphone jacks on the unit and audio and video in/out jacks. There is a hold switch which can be used to lock the controls on the player while it can still be operated using the remote. The unit does not get hot as the cooling system is efficient and circulates air perfectly. The accessories that come with the device include the AC adapter, auto adapter, AV cord, and of course the remote control. The finish of the frame and cover is not glossy and hence does not attract fingerprints or reflect the surroundings. It is available in a variety of colors and the user has a choice to select whichever is desirable.
The controls on the unit can be used to jump scenes forward or backward but the movie cannot be fast forwarded or re-winded using them and this is inconvenient when the user is sitting within reach of the player. There is no acrylic screen protection on this unit like other models and the touch buttons are difficult to operate in the dark when compared to push buttons. The unit does not include a slot for an SD card or USB memory stick nd the screen can be rotated in only one direction.
The device is well worth the money because of its functionality. There may be a few defective products that are delivered now and then and this is not any different from other electronic products.
